Public Libraries

There are two opposed ways of keeping the stock in a library:

• closed access: Only trained staff has access to the books and other publications. They can perform necessary “tests” on books. → roughly corresponds to OOP
• open-access Shelving: every user of the library has free access to all the books and other publications → “traditional” programming style
